COVID-19 Coronavirus Workers' Comp Update

Mon, Mar 23rd, 2020

The Harrison Law Office remains open for business! I will continue to represent my clients, both existing and new, in their workers’ compensation claims despite the Coronavirus.

However, consistent with the Governor’s new order on workplace restrictions, the physical office will be closed for the near term and I will be working from home.

Voicemail messages and emails will be vigorously monitored Monday through Friday and, as always, I will personally respond to each and every one by the end of the next business day. Calls to you will be placed from my mobile phone, and will come in as a “private” or “unknown” or even “blocked” number. If you choose not to answer these types of calls (I don’t) please at least check your voicemail because I will have left a message if your voicemail has been set up.

In addition, you may now text message me at (585) 789-1812. This, also, will be vigorously monitored and responded to promptly Monday through Friday.

As an “essential” NY business, I will also be heading into the office several times a week to open and scan in any mail received via the US Postal Service.

As you may already know, the NY Workers’ Compensation Board is still holding hearings, but they are “virtual” only. I will therefore be appearing at your hearings via video (as will the Judge and the insurance company’s attorney). You may (and definitely should) appear for your hearing via phone by calling (844) 337-6301.

The Harrison Law Office will continue to offer the quality service that I take great pride in, and that you have come to expect. Having transformed to a “paperless” office many years ago, I am well equipped with the right talent, skills and technology to continue fighting to get you all the benefits you deserve. This is an unprecedented time, but with the right behavior we can #flattenthecurve.

I hope that you and those close to you stay well during these challenging times.

~Jim Harrison
